SassodiSole’s 2013 Brunello di Montalcino shows a dry, savory or leathery quality. There is an evident layer of primary fruit, but it taste brambly and wild. Superficially, you might taste cassis and wild bluberry with balsam herb and forest floor all mixed in for good measure. Moist earth and subtle notes of terracotta appear. The acidity is balanced and bright.
